Elementary English Teacher at KNS Academy Gangnam – Up to 2.8M KRW in Seoul

KNS Academy’s Elementary Department in Gangnam, Seoul is urgently seeking qualified Native and Gyopo English teachers for a full-time position teaching Grades 2 through 6. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver advanced English language instruction through the IB Program in one of Seoul’s most prestigious educational districts.

Job Description

As a teacher in the Elementary Department at KNS Academy, you will work with advanced students from Grade 2 to Grade 6, Monday through Friday, from 14:00 to 22:00. Your core mission is to build genuine confidence in English listening, speaking, reading, writing, and critical thinking through the school’s IB-aligned curriculum.

• Design and implement lesson plans and instructional materials tailored to each class’s needs and learning styles
• Deliver literature-oriented English lectures that challenge and engage advanced learners
• Conduct essay correction, daily student reports, student report cards, and individual student interviews
• Foster a professional, organized classroom environment that actively encourages academic growth
• Integrate technology meaningfully into lesson delivery to strengthen the learning experience
• Participate in professional development activities, seminars, and curriculum alignment sessions
• Collaborate with colleagues on instructional planning and student assessment strategies

Requirements

• Native English speaker — citizens of the USA, Canada, UK, New Zealand, or Australia (or Gyopo/F-visa holders)
• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year university
• Literature or Humanities major preferred; experience with literature-oriented instruction is a strong advantage
• Apostilled diploma (required for graduates outside of Korea)
• Apostilled Federal Criminal Background Check issued within the last 6 months
• Self-Medical Health Check
• Eligible visa types: E-2, F-4, F-series, or Korean citizenship
