Preschool Educator in Suzhou at SSFLS, China in Tokyo

Suzhou Science and Technology Foreign Language School (SSFLS) is a bilingual kindergarten in Suzhou, China, offering an International curriculum. Educators use primarily English to guide children’s exploration and support their development across multiple domains.

Position Overview

We are seeking enthusiastic and experienced Kindergarten Educators to work with children aged 1.5 to 6 years old. You will plan and deliver child-centered, English-language lessons, collaborate with team members, and support children’s transition into formal education while fostering their social-emotional development, motor skills, and interpersonal abilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver lessons in English aligned with the school’s curriculum, using multimodal, child-centered approaches for ages 1–6.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure children’s safety and wellbeing during indoor and outdoor activities.
• Assist with daily routines, including diaper changing and toilet training.
• Create and use diagnostic, formative, and summative assessment tools to measure learning progress.
• Build positive relationships with families by sharing feedback on children’s development.
• Participate in school events and activities as required.

Required Qualifications

• Native English speaker from USA, Canada, UK, Australia, or New Zealand (visa requirement).
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college.
• Demonstrated experience working in a preschool or kindergarten setting.
• Early childhood certification strongly preferred.
• Preschool or kindergarten teacher qualifications strongly preferred.
• Experience with IB, PBL, or Reggio approaches is valued.

Working Conditions

• Start date: End of August 2026.
• Monday–Friday, 8:00–16:30 with one-hour break.
