EAL Teacher for Bilingual Kindergarten in Suzhou in Tokyo

Our partner school is a bilingual kindergarten offering an international curriculum in Suzhou, China.

Position Overview

We are seeking enthusiastic, nurturing, and experienced EAL teachers to work with young learners aged 1.5 to 6 years old. You will plan and deliver engaging English lessons, collaborate with team members across grade levels, and support children’s development in a caring, multicultural environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver English lessons following the school’s curriculum using child-centered and multimodal teaching approaches for children aged 1–6 years
• Work collaboratively in teams to ensure children’s safety and wellbeing during indoor and outdoor activities
• Support daily routines including diaper changing and toilet training
• Develop and use diagnostic, formative, and summative assessment tools to measure student learning
• Maintain positive relationships with families through regular progress reports and feedback
• Participate in school events and activities as requested
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the principal

Requirements

• Native-level English proficiency
• Nationality from a native English-speaking country (USA, Canada, UK, Australia, or New Zealand) due to visa requirements
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college
• Demonstrated experience working in a preschool or kindergarten setting
• Experience with IB, Project-Based Learning (PBL), or Reggio Emilia approaches is preferred
• Early childhood education certification strongly preferred
• Preschool or kindergarten teacher qualifications strongly preferred
• Preference given to candidates with more than two years of teaching experience

Working Conditions

• Start date: End of August 2026
• Monday–Friday, 8:00–16:30 with a one-hour break
