Preschool English Teacher at Fifth Wings – Niigata & Tochigi, Visa Sponsored

Fifth Wings is seeking 6 full-time Preschool English Teachers to join their growing team across Niigata Prefecture and Tochigi Prefecture, Japan. Successful candidates will deliver engaging, play-based English education to preschool and kindergarten-aged children.

Start Dates: September 21st & October 5th, 2026 (1–2 year contracts available)

Salary: ¥220,000–¥240,000 per month (before tax), based on experience and qualifications

About the Role

We are looking for dedicated, creative educators who genuinely love working with young children and are enthusiastic about fostering curiosity through play-based learning methods. Teachers will contribute to the development and ongoing improvement of the school environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate play-based English lessons
• Lead or co-lead a homeroom class and fulfil broader school duties
• Collaborate with fellow teachers on lesson planning and delivery
• Participate actively in all staff meetings
• Bring creativity and energy to arts & crafts activities and interactive play with children

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education or a related field
• Solid understanding of Early Childhood Education (ECE) teaching methodologies
• Prior classroom experience in a preschool or kindergarten setting
• Teaching licence/certificate preferred; TEFL/TESOL certification also considered
• Strong creativity, energy, and genuine passion for early childhood education

Note: Candidates already residing in Japan will be given the highest priority. Strong Early Childhood Education professionals based outside Japan will also be seriously considered.
