Rugby School Thailand is seeking a passionate and skilled Temporary Teacher of Drama & LAMDA to join its Prep School team in Bang Lamung District. This is a full-time role within a thriving international school environment.

About the Prep School

The Prep School welcomes approximately 500 students across Years 3–8, supported by exceptional classroom and boarding facilities. The academic programme is rooted in the best elements of the UK National Curriculum. The school operates extended school days and runs a Saturday Enrichment Programme offering a diverse range of co-curricular activities.

Campus facilities include a Design and Technology studio, ICT suite, dedicated drama studio, music rooms, library, sports hall, 50m and two 25m swimming pools, floodlit football fields, and tennis courts. Boarding provision for students from Year 6 is available at Marshall House.

About the Drama Department

All Prep School students in Years 3–8 attend weekly drama lessons. The department delivers three annual productions and runs a variety of drama activities alongside LAMDA sessions. Collaborative planning takes place with the Music and English departments, with production support from Art, DT, and other staff across the school.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver timetabled drama lessons from Year 4 to Year 8
  • Provide support for school productions
  • Assist in the organisation and running of LAMDA sessions
  • Serve as a Form Tutor

Skills & Qualifications

  • University degree from a recognised academic institution
  • Teaching qualification from a recognised academic institution
  • Strong subject and curriculum knowledge in Drama
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work effectively under pressure
  • High level of IT literacy
  • Enthusiastic, flexible, and proactive approach to all aspects of school life
  • Creative and innovative, with the ability to contribute beyond the classroom curriculum
  • Professional, reliable, and an effective communicator both orally and in writing
