Raffles American School (RAS) is looking for a motivated and dedicated Student Behaviour Counsellor to join its Middle and High School counselling team for the 2026 academic year. This is a Thai citizens-only position.

Role Overview

The Behaviour Counsellor will work primarily with middle school students, extending support to high school students where required. The role centres on helping students develop positive behaviours, self-regulation, and personal accountability, operating within the school’s established behaviour policies and procedures. Close collaboration with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), classroom teachers, and fellow counsellors is central to the position, with a strong emphasis on restorative practices and proactive intervention.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and uphold the school’s behaviour policies and procedures
  • Work directly with individual students to address behavioural concerns and encourage positive decision-making
  • Facilitate restorative conversations, mediation sessions, and guided reflection activities
  • Deliver proactive and responsive behavioural interventions
  • Collaborate with SLT, teachers, and counsellors to holistically support student needs
  • Develop, implement, and monitor personalised behaviour support plans for identified students
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of all student interventions and progress
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student behaviour and development
  • Actively contribute to the broader life and culture of the school community

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in counselling, psychology, education, or a closely related field
  • Previous experience as a school counsellor or in a student support/behaviour-focused role
  • Experience working with middle and/or high school students is preferred
  • Solid understanding of behaviour management strategies and restorative practices
  • Background in an international or formal school setting is an advantage
  • Strong communication and collaborative working skills
