Secondary Physical Education Teacher in Shanghai
About the Role
NACIS Shanghai is seeking a qualified Secondary Physical Education Teacher to deliver excellent teaching and learning in PE. This is an opportunity to nurture resilient and creative global citizens through innovative programmes including the Global Campus, Nord Anglia University, and partnerships with The Juilliard School, MIT, UNICEF, IMG and King’s College London.
Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate thorough curriculum knowledge and teach flexibly across different PE aspects and age groups
- Ensure planning, preparation, teaching, assessment and reporting meet student needs and school expectations
- Promote high expectations, designing learning activities aligned to the school’s Secondary curriculum
- Foster an environment of respect and learning through questioning and discussion
- Actively contribute to wider school development and growth
About NACIS Shanghai
Founded in September 2016, NACIS Shanghai serves students aged 6–18 in the Minhang District. The school offers a creative, challenging and rewarding progressive, internationally minded learning experience with a distinctive bilingual, blended learning programme leading to the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualified Teacher status with a minimum of three to four years teaching experience in Secondary PE
- PGCE, QTS or nationally recognized teaching license
- Deep understanding of effective teaching and learning theory, differentiation and classroom organization
- Ability to meet China visa requirements: bachelor degree, non-criminal background check, and minimum 24 months teaching experience
