Optics Valley Ulink School in Wuhan is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Secondary English & French Teacher to join its growing international faculty on a full-time basis. Job Description
As a Secondary English and French Teacher, you will be at the heart of delivering high-quality, curriculum-aligned instruction across both subjects at the secondary level. - Create an inspiring, nurturing classroom environment that encourages students to learn, grow, and take ownership of their progress;
- Plan and deliver structured, engaging lessons in both English and French, aligned with curriculum expectations and interdisciplinary approaches;
- Maintain high standards of teaching and learning while embedding creativity and critical thinking into your practice;
- Keep accurate, up-to-date records of student achievement and progress;
- Build positive relationships with students and parents, demonstrating a genuine commitment to each student’s well-being;
- Collaborate actively across departments, contributing to curriculum planning, school events, and wider school life;
- Communicate clearly and professionally with students, colleagues, and parents alike.
Requirements
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant subject area, with strong knowledge in both French and English;
- A recognised teaching qualification such as a B.Ed., M.Ed., iPGCE, or QTS/iQTS;
- At least two years of full-time classroom teaching experience in mainstream education is preferred;
- Effective classroom management skills and a proven ability to engage secondary-level learners;
- Experience with the Cambridge curriculum is a distinct advantage, particularly within an international school setting;
- A strong sense of responsibility, pastoral care, and professional integrity;
- Willingness to participate in academic enrichment programmes and extra-curricular activities;
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively as part of a team;
