British Education Korea (BEK) is a growing British-style international school group founded in 2008, operating five campuses across Seoul, Bundang, and Dongtan. BEK is currently seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Secondary Maths Teacher to join its expanding Secondary team, with a start date of August 2026.

About the Role

The successful candidate will plan and deliver stimulating, high-quality Maths lessons to students aged 11–18, following the UK National Curriculum and/or IGCSE and A Level pathways. BEK teachers are central to inspiring students to reach their full potential and prepare for success in further study and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the UK National Curriculum and/or IGCSE and A Level frameworks, tailored to student needs
  • Contribute to a collaborative and reflective professional culture within the Secondary department
  • Support interdisciplinary learning and wider curriculum initiatives where appropriate
  • Promote enthusiasm for subject learning through enrichment activities, clubs, competitions, and whole-school programme events
  • Support students’ academic, social, and emotional development
  • Fulfil wider professional duties including lesson planning, assessment, reporting, parent communication, and collaboration with campus leadership

Working Hours

The standard working day runs from 8:00 am to 4:45 pm, with a 60-minute break. All full-time staff are expected to be on campus throughout the working day unless otherwise authorised.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or above
  • PGCE or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching in a secondary school setting
  • Strong command of English
  • Experience teaching students aged 11–18 preferred
  • Degree in a relevant subject area preferred
  • Prior experience teaching at the secondary level with a strong understanding of the UK National Curriculum is an advantage
  • Experience delivering IGCSE and A Level programmes is highly desirable
