Anglo Singapore International School’s Sukhumvit 64 Campus in Bangkok is seeking a talented and dedicated Secondary Art & Design Teacher to join their international teaching team on a full-time basis. Job Description
In this role, you will deliver engaging and challenging Art & Design lessons to secondary-level students, guiding them through both traditional art-making and technology-integrated design workflows. Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning, preparing, and teaching Art & Design lessons aligned with internationally recognised curricula such as Cambridge Art & Design, Cambridge Design & Technology, IB Visual Arts, or Pearson (Edexcel/BTEC) Art & Design.
- Developing students’ creative skills across both traditional media and digital platforms, including industry-standard tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Procreate, SketchUp, Blender, and Canva.
- Teaching structured creative processes and design workflows, supporting students in building strong, evidence-based portfolios of their own work.
- Organising and contributing to art exhibitions, workshops, gallery visits, and other creative educational initiatives that enrich students’ learning experiences beyond the classroom.
- Assessing student progress and providing meaningful, constructive feedback to support continuous improvement in creative output and design thinking.
- Collaborating with colleagues across the school to maintain high academic standards and a vibrant creative culture.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will bring both subject expertise and a genuine passion for arts education at the secondary level. Applicants should meet the following criteria:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Art, Design, or a closely related field β or a minimum of two years’ proven experience teaching Secondary Art & Design.
- Demonstrated proficiency in traditional art techniques alongside technology-integrated design practices.
- Strong working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop and Illustrator; familiarity with Procreate, SketchUp, Blender, Canva, or equivalent platforms is an advantage.
- The ability to evidence effective teaching of creative processes through student portfolios, sample artworks, or documented student exhibitions.
- Prior experience with Cambridge Art & Design, Cambridge Design & Technology, IB Visual Arts, or Pearson (Edexcel/BTEC) Art & Design curricula is highly preferred.
All interested candidates are required to submit a portfolio that includes:
- Documentation of art teaching-related activities (e.g. exhibitions, workshops, gallery visits, or other relevant creative education initiatives).
- Examples of the candidate’s own original artworks.
- Samples of student artwork, student outcomes, or portfolios developed under the candidate’s guidance.
