ZS Consultancy is actively recruiting qualified foreign teachers for a wide range of full-time positions across mainland China — spanning international schools, private schools, public schools, kindergartens, and training centres in major first- and second-tier cities including Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Hangzhou, Chongqing, Nanjing, Suzhou, Dalian, Changsha, and Sanya, among others.
Job Description
Openings are available for a broad spectrum of subjects and school types, giving experienced international educators a strong variety of placement options. Depending on your background and certification, you may be placed in one of the following roles:
- English, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, Art, PE, or Social Studies teacher
- Homeroom teacher (native female preferred; experience required)
- Language teachers for German, Spanish, or Russian (considered on a case-by-case basis)
Specific current vacancies include:
- Primary School, Hangzhou — Native English speakers required
- Training Centre, Guizhou — Native speakers preferred; Caucasian South African candidates may be considered
- Primary School, Chengdu — Native female preferred; non-native European or Russian candidates with a neutral accent may also be considered
- Homeroom Teacher (location flexible) — Native female preferred; prior experience is mandatory
- Training Centre, Suzhou — Native English speakers only
Teachers are expected to deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons, manage classrooms effectively, support student learning outcomes, and work collaboratively within a professional and caring school environment — all without close supervision.
Requirements
- Candidates from native English-speaking countries only (for English teaching positions)
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education, English, or a related subject
- A recognised teaching qualification is essential: TEFL, TESOL, CELTA, or IB
- Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in a high-performing school setting
- Familiarity with international curricula such as IB, A-Level, IGCSE, or Common Core
- Strong written and spoken English communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a professional, friendly environment
- Willingness to comply with local laws, customs, and regulations
- Genuine enthusiasm for working with children of all ages
- References from previous employers are preferred
