Head of Secondary Mathematics at Anglo Singapore International School Bangkok
Anglo Singapore International School (Sukhumvit 64 Campus) in Bangkok is seeking an experienced and driven Head of Secondary Mathematics Department to join their team from August/September 2026. This is a full-time leadership position within a well-regarded international school committed to academic rigour and student excellence.
Job Description
As Head of Secondary Mathematics, you will take ownership of the department’s academic direction and day-to-day operations. Your responsibilities will span both classroom teaching and departmental leadership, including:
- Leading and managing the Secondary Mathematics Department across all year groups
- Teaching Secondary Mathematics, including IGCSE, A Level, and/or Further Mathematics (Cambridge and/or Edexcel syllabi)
- Providing academic leadership, mentoring, and structured professional development opportunities for Mathematics teachers
- Upholding high standards of teaching, learning, assessment, and student achievement throughout the department
- Developing, reviewing, and refining curriculum, schemes of work, and assessment frameworks
- Monitoring individual and cohort student progress, implementing targeted strategies to maximise outcomes
- Collaborating closely with the Senior Leadership Team to contribute to whole-school improvement initiatives
- Championing pedagogical innovation within a structured, academically focused learning environment
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics or a closely related discipline
- Recognised teaching qualification such as a PGCE, B.Ed., or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years’ experience teaching Secondary Mathematics, with demonstrable expertise in IGCSE and A Level delivery
- Previous experience as a Head of Department, Curriculum Leader, or comparable leadership role is highly desirable
- Strong working knowledge of Cambridge and/or Edexcel Mathematics curricula
- Proven track record in curriculum development and mentoring teaching colleagues
- Familiarity with — or a genuine willingness to adopt — Singapore Mathematics methodologies
- Native-level English proficiency with excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills
