Job Description

As an ESL Homeroom Teacher, you will be at the heart of a lively bilingual classroom, working with children aged 2.5 to 6 years old in small groups of 15 to 20 pupils. Your core responsibilities will include:

• Planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate English language lessons that capture young learners’ imagination and build strong language foundations
• Managing the daily homeroom routine — morning meetings, transitions, activity time — to create a structured yet nurturing environment
• Developing a positive, interactive bilingual classroom culture where children feel safe to explore and communicate in English
• Using the school’s complete set of official teaching materials to guide lesson delivery and ensure curriculum consistency
• Monitoring individual children’s progress and communicating developmental updates to parents and colleagues
• Collaborating with Chinese co-teachers and school staff to support holistic early-childhood development

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM, with full weekends off — a stable, predictable schedule with no weekend obligations.

Requirements

• Nationality: Native English speaker required; US or UK passport holders are highly preferred
• Education: Bachelor’s degree or above in any discipline
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of formal teaching experience in early childhood education or ESL instruction
• Personal qualities: Patient, energetic, and genuinely child-loving; confident in managing a classroom of young learners and skilled at interactive, play-based teaching
