Ulink College of Shanghai is seeking a dedicated and passionate A Level / IGCSE Geography Teacher to join its international teaching faculty in Songjiang District, Shanghai. This is a full-time role within a student-centred learning environment that prepares young Chinese students for entry into leading universities around the world.
Job Description
As a Geography teacher at Ulink, you will deliver A Level and IGCSE Geography courses in English or bilingually, in line with the relevant examination board syllabi. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering engaging Geography lessons that meet curriculum requirements and promote independent thinking
- Assigning appropriate homework and providing timely, constructive feedback
- Monitoring and tracking individual student learning progress
- Preparing periodic student reports that communicate academic development clearly to parents and school leadership
- Offering additional academic support to students who need extra help
- Organising and leading fieldwork trips that connect classroom learning to real-world geographic contexts
- Taking an active part in extracurricular activities and school life
- Supporting students through the university application process, including writing reference letters and providing guidance where appropriate
- Attending parents’ evenings, staff meetings and other school events as reasonably required
- Upholding and complying with school policies and regulations
Requirements
- Enthusiastic, committed and ambitious approach to teaching and professional growth
- A recognised teaching certification in a relevant subject
- At least a Bachelor’s degree in Geography or a closely related discipline
- Minimum two years of teaching experience with IGCSE, A Level, IB or AP programmes
