Ulink College of Shanghai (UCS) is seeking a dedicated A Level / IGCSE English Teacher to join its growing faculty in Songjiang District, Shanghai. This is a full-time position at a prestigious international college focused on preparing Chinese students for overseas university entry through a rigorous, student-centred academic programme.

Job Description

As an A Level / IGCSE English Teacher at UCS, you will deliver subject courses in English or bilingually, strictly aligned with the relevant A Level and IGCSE syllabi. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Planning and delivering high-quality A Level / IGCSE English lessons that foster independent thinking and strong academic skills
• Setting and marking homework in a timely, constructive manner to support student progress
• Monitoring and supervising students’ learning development, adjusting teaching strategies where needed
• Preparing periodic student reports that accurately reflect academic achievement and personal growth
• Providing targeted additional support to students who require extra guidance
• Participating actively in extracurricular activities that broaden the student experience
• Writing university reference letters and offering guidance to students through the overseas application process
• Attending parent meetings, staff meetings, and other relevant school events as reasonably requested
• Upholding and complying with all school regulations and professional standards

Requirements

• A genuine enthusiasm for teaching and a committed, ambitious professional outlook
• A recognised teaching certification (PGCE, QTS, state licence or equivalent)
• At least a Bachelor’s degree in English or a closely related subject
• Minimum two years of classroom experience delivering IGCSE, A Level, IB or AP curricula
