Anglo Singapore International School is looking for an experienced and dedicated Head of Kindergarten to provide academic and pastoral leadership across its Kindergarten section at the Sukhumvit 64 Campus in Bangkok, Thailand — a full-time role with a competitive remuneration package.
Job Description
Reporting to the Kindergarten & Primary School Principal and working alongside the Senior Leadership Team, the Head of Kindergarten is responsible for the overall quality of teaching and learning during the most formative years of a child’s education. The successful candidate will:
- Provide leadership oversight for teaching and learning across the entire Kindergarten section
- Ensure curriculum coherence, clear progression, and consistent instructional practices throughout the department
- Support, mentor, and professionally develop Kindergarten teachers through guidance and collaborative practice
- Oversee assessment processes, student progress monitoring, and reporting to parents
- Maintain safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate learning environments aligned with early childhood best practice
- Build positive, trust-based partnerships with parents and guardians
- Contribute actively to whole-school initiatives, policy development, and school improvement planning
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, or a related field
- Master’s degree in Education or a related discipline (preferred)
- A recognised teaching qualification such as a B.Ed., PGCE, Early Childhood Certification, or equivalent
- Native-level fluency in English with strong professional communication skills
Experience:
- Minimum of three years’ teaching experience in an Early Years or Kindergarten setting
- Demonstrated leadership experience within a Kindergarten or Early Years environment
- Strong grounding in early childhood curriculum frameworks and child development theory
- Familiarity with Singapore early years curriculum approaches, particularly in Mathematics and/or Science, is a distinct advantage
- Prior experience in an international school setting
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational abilities
