Dulwich College Bangkok (DCBK) is seeking a dedicated and inspiring Primary School Teacher to join the Junior School team, with a start date of January 2027. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a brand-new international school opening in Bangkok in August 2026.

About the School

Dulwich College Bangkok is a member of the Education in Motion (EiM) family of international schools, with campuses across Singapore, Seoul, Shanghai, Beijing, and Suzhou. Opening in August 2026, DCBK will initially serve up to 1,000 Early Years and Junior School students, with expansion plans to accommodate 1,800 students and a Senior School by 2029. The College delivers a rigorous UK National Curriculum enriched with international best practices, and is committed to academic excellence and holistic student development.

About the Role

The Junior School caters to students in Key Stage 2 (ages 7–11) and provides a dynamic, challenging, and supportive learning environment. Junior School teachers are expected to:

  • Champion high expectations and foster a genuine love of learning in every student.
  • Nurture student well-being and ensure every child can achieve their personal best.
  • Promote international understanding, equal opportunity, and an inclusive, safe classroom environment where students come first.
  • Create purposeful, inquiry-led learning spaces that encourage collaboration, independent thinking, and creativity.
  • Deliver a broad, balanced curriculum blending the English National Curriculum with international best practices — covering literacy, numeracy, communication, critical thinking, and personal development.
  • Contribute positively to the whole-college strategic aims and embody the DCBK values.

The Worldwise Teacher Profile

DCBK recruits exceptional educators who align with the Dulwich College International “Worldwise Teacher” philosophy. Ideal candidates are:

  • Student-Centric: Place students at the heart of every decision and action.
  • Agile & Positive: Adaptable, open-minded, and persevering in the face of challenge.
  • Collaborative: Strong communicators who thrive in team-oriented environments.
  • Globally Minded: Committed to equity, sustainability, and internationalism.

In practice, Worldwise teachers maximise learning, foster student agency, deliver academic depth, and cultivate higher-order thinking and critical problem-solving skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field.
  • Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE or QTS).
  • Minimum of 2 years post-qualification teaching experience.
  • A genuine commitment to safeguarding and the welfare of all students.

The Selection Process

  • Short online Q&A session to assess candidate–school fit.
  • Full panel interview (online or face-to-face).
  • HR interview (online or face-to-face).
  • Submission of a teaching video or evidence of excellent practice.
  • Conditional offer subject to safeguarding, reference, background, and qualification checks.

Safeguarding & Inclusion

Dulwich College Bangkok is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students, following safe recruitment practices aligned with the International Task Force on Child Protection. All appointments are subject to identity, social media, and criminal record checks, as well as satisfactory references.

DCBK is also strongly committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion in its team, practices, and culture. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, gender, disability, nationality, religion, marital status, sexual orientation, age, or socioeconomic background, and strives to create a workplace where everyone belongs and feels confident to contribute.
