Key Responsibilities
- Design, prepare, and deliver stimulating lessons that align with the IB DP curriculum framework.
- Encourage critical thinking, creativity, and analytical reasoning through the study of literature.
- Monitor and assess student progress on an ongoing basis, offering meaningful and constructive feedback.
- Work closely with fellow educators to strengthen curriculum delivery and enrich student learning experiences.
- Nurture students’ personal development in accordance with the school’s core values.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a closely related discipline (minimum requirement).
- A minimum of 2 years of teaching experience at the secondary or high school level.
- Prior experience delivering the IB Diploma Programme is strongly preferred.
- Solid understanding of both contemporary and classic literary works relevant to the IB curriculum.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective engagement with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Proven ability to create an inclusive classroom atmosphere that supports learners from diverse backgrounds.
