Grade 5 Homeroom Teacher at Theodore International School, Chumphon
Theodore International School (TIS), a progressive institution situated just 10 minutes from downtown Chumphon, Thailand, is looking for a dedicated Grade 5 Homeroom Teacher to join its team on a full-time basis.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a broad curriculum to Grade 5 students, covering subjects such as:
- Science
- Mathematics
- Language Arts
- Social Studies
- Art
- Technology
Teaching hours will not exceed 20 per week, with an additional 2–5 hours per week for supplementary duties such as student monitoring.
Contract & Schedule
- Teacher orientation begins: August 3, 2026
- Term 1 starts: August 14, 2026
- Term ends: June 4, 2027
Compensation & Benefits
- Monthly salary of 39,000–44,000 THB (inclusive of housing and food stipends)
- Low-cost on-campus housing available

- 35 paid holidays between August and June, including extended breaks for Christmas/New Year and Thai Songkran (April)
- Extra income opportunities via tutoring TIS students at 500 THB/hour (potentially an additional 3,000–5,000 THB/month), with summer school tutoring available at the same rate
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in any field
- Strong proficiency in English — non-native speakers with excellent language skills and classroom experience are warmly encouraged to apply
Desired (Not Essential) Skills
- Prior teaching experience
- TEFL/TESOL diploma
- Familiarity with educational technology platforms such as Google Classroom
