Bromsgrove School Mission Hills (BMH) is recruiting an Early Years Teacher to join our team from August 2026. We are seeking an exemplary educator to deliver our dynamic play-based programme and build positive relationships with students alongside experienced early childhood professionals from around the world.
BMH is an innovative bilingual school partnered with Bromsgrove School in England, following a blended, inquiry-based curriculum that integrates Chinese and Western pedagogies. The successful candidate will be creative in curriculum development and implementation, support the cognitive and social benefits of bilingualism, and demonstrate an open-minded, respectful approach to multiculturalism in a Chinese context.
Key Responsibilities
- Create outstanding, engaging play-based learning environments
- Build strong routines to enhance children’s sense of well-being and belonging
- Offer all children respect, equity and learning opportunities
- Engage actively in parent communication and facilitate parental involvement in learning
- Document learning to celebrate achievements and plan next steps
- Co-plan, co-assess and co-deliver the BMH Pre School Curriculum
- Develop engaging, developmentally appropriate Inquiry Units
- Deliver regular language learning opportunities through read-alouds, guided reading, role play and writing tasks
- Create meaningful curriculum links within Inquiry Units to engage young learners
Requirements
- University degree (BA/B.Sc) or equivalent
- Teacher qualifications (B.Ed, M.Ed, PGCE, QTS) or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years relevant teaching experience
- Native or fluent English speaker
- Understanding of early childhood frameworks such as Canadian education, PYP, EYFS, or Reggio Emilia (preferred)
- Positive, caring, collaborative team-player with passion for early childhood education
