Year 5 Homeroom Teacher in Koh Samui

Lamai International School is seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated, and passionate Year 5 Homeroom Teacher to join our growing international school community on the island of Koh Samui, Thailand.

We are a small, family-oriented international school that combines the British Curriculum with inquiry-based learning, strong pastoral care, and a commitment to Education for Sustainable Development (ESD).

Qualifications and Experience Required:

• Bachelor’s Degree and recognised teaching qualification (B.Ed., PGCE, PGCEi, QTS, or equivalent)
• Minimum 2 years of classroom teaching experience
• Excellent classroom management and positive relationship-building skills
• Passion for creating engaging, student-centred learning experiences
• Commitment to developing the whole child academically, socially, and emotionally
• Enthusiasm for Education for Sustainable Development (ESD)
• Strong collaborative and team-working abilities
• Reflective, adaptable, and committed to professional growth

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the British Curriculum
• Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
• Assess student progress and provide regular feedback to students and families
• Work closely with colleagues to support school initiatives and student wellbeing
• Contribute to school events, projects, and the wider school community
• Integrate inquiry-based learning and sustainability concepts across the curriculum
