Preschool English Teachers – Niigata, Gunma & Tochigi (Japan)

We are hiring 7 full-time preschool English teachers to start as soon as possible across Niigata, Gunma, and Tochigi in Japan. If you love working with young learners and bringing lessons to life through play, this could be a great fit. Teachers already living in Japan are especially encouraged to apply and will be given priority.

The role involves designing and delivering engaging, age-appropriate play-based English lessons that spark curiosity in preschool and kindergarten children. You will collaborate with fellow teachers on lesson planning, help lead a homeroom class, take part in school responsibilities, and attend staff meetings. Plenty of creativity in arts and crafts plus the energy to actively play with the children is a must.

Requirements include a bachelor’s degree or higher (education or a related field preferred), a solid grasp of early childhood teaching methods, and prior classroom experience in a preschool or kindergarten setting. A teaching license or certificate is preferred. Contracts run 1-2 years, with start dates of June 20, July 20, September 21, and October 5, 2026.

Salary: ¥220,000-240,000 per month (before taxes), depending on experience and teaching license. Visa: Full sponsorship is available to qualified applicants. Application deadline: October 30, 2026.
