Job Description

As a native English teacher placed through LinkUp Korea, you will work at a carefully matched kindergarten or elementary school, delivering engaging English language lessons to young learners. Your core responsibilities will include:

• Planning and delivering age-appropriate English lessons for kindergarten and/or elementary-level students
• Creating a supportive, immersive English-language environment in the classroom
• Developing lesson materials that promote communication, vocabulary development, and early literacy
• Monitoring and assessing student progress, adapting your teaching approach to meet varying learning needs
• Collaborating with Korean co-teachers and school staff to ensure positive learning outcomes
• Participating in school events, parent communication activities, and professional development initiatives as required

Requirements

• Native English speakers only: Citizens of the US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, or South Africa
• Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited 4-year university (Apostille verification required)
• Background check: Apostille-verified national criminal background check (e.g. FBI CBC for US citizens) issued within the last 6 months
• Valid passport: Minimum 6 months remaining validity
• Visa status: E-2 visa holder, current F-visa holder, or D-10 visa holder with complete documentation
• Desirable: TEFL, TESOL, or CELTA certificate; degree in Education, English, or Linguistics

Benefits

• Salary: 2,300,000 – 2,900,000+ KRW per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications
• Housing: Fully furnished single accommodation provided by the school
• Airfare reimbursement: Provided upon arrival or contract completion (for eligible applicants)
• Severance pay: One month’s additional salary upon successful completion of a 1-year contract
• Health insurance & national pension: 50% co-paid by the school
