Secondary History & Geography Teacher at Laurus, Tokyo

Laurus International School of Science is a leading educational institution in Tokyo committed to fostering academic excellence and global citizenship. We are seeking a dedicated History and Geography Teacher to join our Social Sciences department, teaching Cambridge curriculum courses at the secondary school level.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and effective lessons in History and Geography following the Cambridge curriculum
• Develop lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities
• Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the social sciences program
• Support students’ personal growth alongside academic development

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education, History, Geography or related field (minimum requirement)
• At least 3 years of teaching experience, preferably within an international school setting
• Strong knowledge of the Cambridge curriculum for secondary education
• Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in Japanese is an advantage but not required
• Ability to create dynamic lesson plans that engage students actively
